Good morning, and i definetly mean that . I woke up today to snow on the ground, which i absolutely love, a house full of family ( my mom, dad, nephew and aunt, brody and brent) They are all still sleeping , so i have a few minutes to chat, before i bake a yummy breakfast casserole !
I just love the Holiday Season, it just seems to always bring out the best . Today we will celebrate my Nephews 2nd birthday. I still can not figure out where time has went, but i know i am loving every minute of it . Rowan has grow into such a sweet loving little boy, he has a grin that will melt hearts and keep him in some mischievious trouble for a pretty long time! I am thankful he is part of my life and would not know what to do with out him.. Rowan, Aunt Tasha loves you more than you would ever know:)
We have been busy lately , with no "" free "" weekends until after New Years .. this started in October :) How blessed we are to have some many family and friend gatherings to attend. Example , next weekend we travel to my best friends, to celebrate their new bundle to arrive in January. We are looking forward to seeing lots of our friends there, plus several of us are due to have babies within just weeks of eachother . I looking forward to seeing our families grow together .
We have had more appointments for Baby Boy Cox , yes he still does not have a name and suggestions are welcome:) He is doing wonderful, we have scheduled a C-section for the 14th of March, we may move it to the 10th after we look at the schedule a little harder or if he is getting really big as we get closer. I am just baffled that i possibly , its all in God's hands, already know my childs birthdate. Especially after Brody's very crazy delivery, i can not imagine it .. they tell me it will be great!:) He already weighs two pounds and is healthy as can be, i could not ask for more !
Work has been down right nuts lately, but i am not complaining, i love what i do with all my heart. Agriculture is where my heart has always been and i love being able to help people, listen to their dreams and aspirations , and then seem them transpire over time.. Gosh its good. However, we are busier than we have ever been, on days when i wish there was just a couple more of us to do the jobs we need to get done, i look around at the amazing people and company i work for and thank God! We have a common passion and it really shines through, especialy in the busiest times!
Well love to you all !I am off to bake!

Catching up
Catching up... or trying to..... seems to be the story of our life right now. It has been a beautiful fall here in Indiana, and we are thankful for that. We have been able to have many days outside, and Brody has really enjoyed that . He is getting so big, and growing up way too fast . I look forward to seeing him as a big brother soon, i know he will be great, he is such a loving little man.
Since our last post, we have had another check up on baby boy and he is doing great, we could not be happier and just pray the rest of the pregnancy continues this way. At this point i tell Dr Penman and he tells me that we need to plan for another 10lb baby boy- Lord how do i have such large children at birth :) Goes back to the old line , God does not give us more than we can handle. As of right now we are looking at a C-section the 1st week of March . Brody's birthday is the 25th of March , so that should give us plenty of time to get home and get settled in , before we celebrate Big Brothers 3rd Birthday- wow where does time go!
Over the last month we have traveled to Illinois to watch Purdue get defeated by The fighting "I" and spent a great weekend tailgating with friends, Rita and Levi Rogers, Chelsie Kilmer, Jed and Elizabeth Finke, and the rest of the whole Roger's clan. Rita and Levi were so gracious to host us all for the weekend , and it was a blast! As a side note Chelsie is due with a baby boy Dec 31 , Rita January 27th, Linda Rogers February 13ish , and Me March 17th, so there were lots of pregnant ladies at the outing . Lets just say the men consumed the beer and we took care of the food:) Brody also went along, and was such a blessing all day, even though he was the only child( if you don't count our husbands). He had so much fun playing corn hole ( he calls it bags) , going to the game and playing football all day long. We feel so blessed that he is such a good kid and is willing to just go with the flow most of the time!
I was out of town the whole next week for work , it was hard to leave my boys, my heart just broke every time i thought of them . I did managed to get a manicure in while i was there, something i have not had done in sometime . I met the family at mom and dad's on Friday and we enjoyed a weekend of great family fun, that was wrapped up with a wonderful family photo shoot at Versailles State Park . Loved It and Kelly did a great job!
Work is just crazy busy right now, and Brent leaves Monday for Sioux City for work all week ... he flies out Monday and comes back Friday afternoon, which happens to be our 5th Wedding Anniversary, wow time does really fly when you are enjoying every minute of life. He is the greatest and i thank my lucky stars every day that he is in my life .
Well the holiday season will be upon us soon, we start with our 1st Thanksgiving on the 20th and then there is no free weekends until after Christmas .. wow did i just say that . However, i love this time of year , it just gets me into a very cheery mood !
I hope this post finds you all doing well in your health , happiness and love! Sending lots of love from the Cox Family your way!

Answered Prayers
GOD is so great!! I went to see our regular OB today before the amnio that was scheduled for Thursday. If you remember in my last post , i said i went with my mothers intuition and asked for a test that they did not feel was needed at the time... the test came back negative for Brent having the Kell Antigen. We are so thankful and are thinking God for this answered prayer!
Without making a long story long, i will give the gist of today's conversation. The medical advancements and degree of complexity that these amazing doctors all over the world take on everyone day , is a blessing from God. However , sometimes liability for the doctors plays a huge role and we found that out today. We were not given the option by our specialist for the above tests to be redone after it was falsley completed the 1st time, because he has been sued in two case very specific to mine ( we were told this today) , because they falsely relied on the above test and the babies unfortunately was taken to be with the good Lord. This has do with false statements from the parents about the paternity of the father. Therefore with my Titer level being so high and the unreliability of patient " honesty" we were given the worst case scenario by all doctors involved , without no mention of the above. We are no angry, we understand that everyy situation is different ,but we can be 100% in our case.
I appreciate their cautiousness and awareness, however, in our case we are 100% sure , so we feel confident in this measure, so therefore we are not going to have the amnio right now. This is against the specialists wishes, but only because of what he calls unreliability of the human We are heading back to the specialist on Thursday for another ultrasound and check with the perionatologist. They are still perplexed with my levels, so we will be closely monitored the rest of the pregnancy. As his parents, we are doing everything we can to make sure he is healthy- we love both of our little boys more than anyone will ever know. Baby Cox's heartbeat was great today, but we need to check him out a little more to make sure everything is ok.
For now we will monitor my titer levels every two weeks and complete ultrasounds at the same time frames. We are so thankful for the thoughts and prayers and we know 100% this is the work of God - he loves all of our little children. Thank you for praying with us, we ask that we all continue to think of all the sick and needing children in this world and make sure we send special prayers their way.
Well i am off to bed, this is the day we have been praying for ... its a great start to delivering a healthy baby boy! Good night to all

Just humming along
Well we have now somewhat settled in to our new reality , until we get some more answers and test from the specialist. We had some additional test ran on Brent today, it was just my mothers intuition, so i asked the doctors to please order them, please pray with me that we get positive results, which will be about a 1 week. Our amino is still scheduled for next Thursday, until then i continue to learn everything i can about what is going on.
Last Friday night i attended the 1st ever Women's Cookie Jar at the Benton County Country Club. The cookie jar is a giving circle of women in the community to help good causes in the community. In the first year over $3000 was donated ! Wow , the money was granted to a church providing a kids closet and school supplies for children , a teen pregnancy program, and a bullying program at a local elementary school. I was proud to be one of the 33 inaugural members, plus it was a great night of socializing with other woman in the community and the appetizers were yummy.
On Saturday it was kind of crummy out, but we had already decided we were heading to Fair Oaks Dairy. I have been many times with work , but this was Brent and Brody's 1st trip... they loved it ! The food is so yummy , if you ever have the chance to swing in , do and you will not be disappointed .
We ended the evening snuggling the Heim boys, Thatcher and Rowan, Sean prepared a wonderful meal of fish and scrip scampi, i was stuffed .Boy does Brody enjoy seeing his cousins, it so cute to see them with baby Thatcher.. even though they fight over him!
Sunday was full of church, in which Brody decided he was going to pray for his baby brother as soon as we got there, this usually consist of him lifting up my shirt and placing his hands on my belly, thankfully for everyone else there, we were able to talk him into a more traditional route.
We ate lunch in town and then headed home for naps before we have a supper date at Steve and Gena's. Brody had talked about papaw's porkchop's all weekend. The food was yummy and we had fun watching the colts, even though they had a tough loss.
This Friday we will head to Millennium farms with the Benton County Young Farmers group- Brody is looking forward to looking for that perfect pumpkin... or any pumpkin at all :) Until next time.....

First Post and Lots of updates
Well, i thought i would try my hand at this blogging deal, especially since we have so much going on right now. Wow, it has been a an eventful year so far. As most of you know we finished the construction of our new home in March, but boy was that ever a stressful event. In Feb we found out we were going to be blessed with another beautiful gift from God, we were so elated to add to our family, we love being parents more than life itself , and were so thankful for another opportunity from God.
In April God decided he needed our precious little angel, and he/she went home. It was so heartbreaking and we felt helpless, but were very thankful the little boy that lays back in the John Deere green you to go to bed every night. We truly believe that God is in control and if he thought it was right, he would bless us again.
With that , we found out early July that we would be expecting yet another blessing from God in March, and we are elated. I have went through this past 16 weeks being nervous every day, i trust the Lord and he does have plans for us, but i have just been nervous about making sure this little one gets here to share this beautiful world with us.
The pregnancy has gone great , except lots of sickness... wheeww never had any of that with Brody and boy was i in for it, but that went away at about 12 weeks and i now feel great.
On September 12, 2010 we got a call from our doctors stating that i had the K antibody show up in my bloodwork, i immediatly paniced and looked up everything i could on the internet... not a good thing to do as they mostly post worst case scenarios there. My doctor did not seem to worried at that point and stated that it was probably from the blood transfusion i had with Brody( 4 units , twice) , but to be catious they would have Brent tested for the K Antigen to make sure that i did not develop the K antibody through my pregnancy with Brody .
Background on Kell Antibody/Kell Antigen : It is an antighen that lives on the red blood cells. We all have antigens, but only 10% of the population have this particular Antigen. If i have the antibody and the baby has the antigen, then there is a possiblity that by antibodies with attack and destroy the babies red blood cells.
Brent was tested and on the 17th the nurse called and said he was negative.... wheeww the doctor was right . We still had hesitation but were told we would have more frequent monitoring of the baby than normal but felt relieved.
Fast forward to Monday September 27th, 8:30 am , i get a call from Dr. Penmans nurse, stating they got my Titer levels back ( this is a measurement by number of how high the antibodies are in my system) and he wanted us to go to Indy ASAP to meet with Dr. Sumners the Perionatologist. Of course we were completly shocked , i thought things were fine.
To make a long story shourt, my titers levels are very high 1:32 , Dr Sumners believes that there is a very strong chance that Brent does carry the Antigen and so does the baby. We were floored , but as all parents do , put on our battle gear, prayed to God and began what may be one of the hardest things we ever do.
The baby BOY is very healthy and we have been told that if this is the case, it is a viable pregnancy. The results of the antiboeis attacking the atigens are that he becomes intolerant and anemic , but the beauty of science is that they will do blood trasfusions on him untl we can get him to the point on being able to exisit out side the womb. Of course other risk exisit, but we know God will guide us through this
We are so excited the lord has blessed us again and know that he will take care of this sweet little baby boy. We are still holding out hope that when we go for our aminio on October 14th that the baby is negative , but if not the Lord with handle with .
In the meantime, our baby boy is very very healthy and we are so excited to be blessed with another baby boy, God is Great and works miracles. We will keep you updated and ask for your prayers as we go through this period of uncertainty. Love to you all and God bless all of our children
